Trifles of 1924 Delight Greenacres Audience
The Greenacres Players staged The Trifles of 1924 at Community House Pur chase on May 23 delivering pep and fun. Malcolm Curry handled scenery and David Magowan properties as the cast managed tight rehearsal time and costume changes. Charley Hommann Bernardine Gleegan led with Peggy O Hooligan while Roy Durstine coached dancers and the chorus received hearty applause. The program featured Two Crooks and a Lady a burlesque Two Other Crooks and A Gentleman with Mrs Upjohn in the original thriller praised for its acting pace and humor. Tucker Briggs drew laughs playing the paralyzed post lunch victim as the evening kept lively momentum.

Two of Westchester county's finest gardens will be open from three to six this afternoon as part of S P C Garden Days. White Gates Farm in Bedford Hills is the orchard home of Mrs. Henry Marquand, with a walled garden, pool, arbors, and beds of lilies roses peonies forget me nots magnolia and wistaria. Inter-Sunday School Meet Honors St James the Less
The fifth annual Inter Sunday School track meet produced a close team result with St James the Less taking first place 73 points, Immaculate Heart of Mary second 63 percent, and Scarsdale Congregational third 62 percent. Event winners included Immaculate Heart of Mary and Scarsdale Congregational in relay races and multiple individual sprints and jumps. Eighteen Women Register With White Plains Volunteer Service Bureau
The Volunteer Service Bureau based at 15 Court Street White Plains reports eighteen Scarsdale women have volunteered since its founding.
