The regular School Board met last Saturday night in the school building. It disposed of routine business and appointed a committee of three to continue the investigation into present conditions, with Mr Samuel Woolverton Renee Pean elected to serve and report back.
The notice directs wagons to keep to the right en route to the passenger platform and baggage or express areas, approving traffic flow within the station grounds. It notes enterprise action in the event of wagons proceeding to baggage or express, ensuring orderly movement.
The season outlines two tournaments with events in Men's Singles and Doubles Ladies' Singles and Mixed Doubles. July 4 handicap format runs from June 8 qualifying to July 4 finals and Labor Day segment spans August 17 to September 2 with multiple rounds and finals.
The Scarsdale Golf and Country Club outlines its season events with a Club Championship match play format, rounds due by September 28, ball sweepstakes Saturdays at 12 30 P M from May 18 to November 9, and various handicap and medal play days through September with prizes including a silver loving cup donated by President Alexander Milne.
Students from Briarcliff entered the county meet with strong showing in various weight classes and events. Entries include Richard Peabody, Charles Snyder, Romeen Cook in 60 to 80 lb class. Richmond Atwater, Richard Atwater, Piccot, Fred Woolverton in 81 to 100 lb class. George Welting Albert Woehrle in 100 to 120 lb class. James Rooney and Haroldne Sens in unlimited class. The school plans exercises at the home and will close Friday June 21. some team members will be away due to necessary absences.
The Scarsdale team travels to Pleasantville A C grounds for a 18 hole afternoon match with prize to the winner. An afternoon handicap foursome and mixed foursome 18 hole play are listed with qualifying events and deadlines.
