Scarsdale Pool Opens for Eighth Year Memorial Weekend
The Scarsdale Municipal Pool begins its eighth year with weekend hours 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Labor Day and June weekdays 12 noon to 8 p.m. The pool opens Saturday Sunday and Monday for Memorial Day. Pool director is Bill Rodriguez, assistant director Larry Newman, with popular summer events planned including a Bicentennial fireworks display on July 3, July 4 celebrations, Labor Day events, and six Thursday band concerts.

Holiday mail schedule for Memorial Day announced
The U S Postal Service will observe a holiday schedule on Memorial Day May 31 with no regular residential or business mail delivery. Special delivery and Sunday lockbox service will be available, and star marked boxes will be collected late to meet first class standards. Weekend service will run May 29 and 30.
