Scarsdale Town Club will hold its annual meeting next Thursday at 8 15 PM in the high school auditorium with reports on discipline and extracurricular activities in the Scarsdale school system. Officers for 1948 49 will be elected, nine new members welcomed bringing total to 903, and medals presented to retiring officials.

Miss Betty White the Edgewood School physical education instructor scored the decisive goal in a ten minute overtime as the United States defeated Denmark two to one in the opening round of the women's world championship tournament in Amsterdam Netherlands. The game was played on Monday May 10.

New Village Proposes Taxi Rate Ordinance Change

Fort Hill Players Win High Honors In County Festival
The Westchester Drama Association festival at the County Center honored three top groups on May 8. The Fort Hill Players of Scarsdale presented The Mennonite with cast members including David Pritchard and Eleanor Gebhardt. Yonkers Community Theatre and The Croton Players also won, while Irene Taylor earned a scholarship to the Madame Tamara Daykarhamova School for the Stage.
