Eastman Estate Plan Abandoned For Hoff Barthelson Music School
Plans for a new building on the Eastman Estate have been dropped by the Hoff Barthelson Music School. The school will seek a permit to use the 9 5 acre site starting next fall and will use only the 23 room mansion for classes, with a future recital hall considered. A second public hearing is set for Wednesday at 8 15 in Dyckman Hall. Residents formed an advisory council to oversee the property and any future arrangements to use other facilities for concerts.
