Scarsdale Foundation Expands Loans for Local College Costs
The Scarsdale Foundation begins accepting Scarsdale residents for low interest loans to cover second through fourth year college expenses. Repayment starts after graduation with 3 percent interest deferred until then and paid in five equal installments. 30 Day Sentence For Bike Thief Named Lenard Q Stevens
Lenard Q Stevens of Mt. Vernon pleaded guilty Feb 4 to larceny and possession of stolen property for bicycle theft in Scarsdale. Judge John M Friedman sentenced him in Scarsdale court to 30 days in jail and three years probation. Prosecution sought six months on each count.

Scarsdale begins its 1976 Bicentennial celebrations this Saturday May 8 with an 11‑house tour from 1 30 to 4 30 p m Tickets at Village Hall Recreation Department Friday 9 5 and Saturday 9 11 30 adult 1 dollar child 50 cents with adult. Colonial refreshments provided at Cudner Hyatt and Wayside Cottage with a Conestoga wagon shuttle between two houses. Mrs William H Sullivan is chairman.
