Wayside Players of Scarsdale prepare to present Cock Robin by Elmer Rice and Philip Barry at the Children's House Greenacres Avenue on April 1 2 and 3 at 8 30 pm. Mrs Dexter White and her Properties Committee gather furniture and fixtures for an 18th century grog shop setting. John Messer Lawrence builds the scenery and trains a stage crew including Robert Fox Noel Ripe Jack Morrison and Robert Eastman. Mrs A J Mehler collects costumes and the Wayside Orchestra led by Anson McLoud will accompany each show. Hugh Rennie stars in a part unlike his prior roles. Audiences are asked not to reveal the mystery solution before later performances.

The Scarsdale District No. 1 Board of Education approved a final budget of 584,222 dollars to be raised by taxation, keeping the tax rate at 11.36 per thousand. Burglar Kubas Sentenced to Twenty Years at Sing Sing
Judge Frederick P. Close sentenced Michael Kubas, known as the screen burglar, to twenty years in Sing Sing after a jury found him guilty of seventeen robberies in Scarsdale last fall. His long criminal record includes offenses in Long Island, Boston, and Susquehanna Pennsylvania.

Water Charge Reductions Adopted By Village Board
On motion by George B Clifton village trustee the Water Department net earnings for the year to Feb 28 1930 amounting to 28208 49 will be carried as revenue in the water department budget for the year starting Mar 1 1930. Water department balances will be carried over in future years to lower village tax rate. Fire district tax rate drops from 1.00 to .80 per thousand assessed valuation and meter service charges will be adjusted effective May 1 1930.

Thieves Loot Milady Shop In Wednesday Burglary
Milady Shop at the corner of Chase Road and Harwood Court was broken into Wednesday night. About fifteen hundred dollars of goods were taken, including a spring stock of silk stockings just received that day. A night watchman saw a man and woman on Harwood Court around 12:15 am. The window on Chase Road was found open the next morning. Police questioned the night watchman John Tinnin who reported hearing footsteps and seeing the couple as he investigated.

Village Board Plans Popham Road Widening and Grade Reduction
The Village Board authorizes the Village Engineer to widen Popham Road from 27 to 36 feet and raise it six feet for 300 feet toward the brook.
