Rogers 639, Jules L. Wacht 651. write-ins Spencer Scott and Simon Breines for mayor. four write-ins for trustees. Many votes lost due to improper casting. Last year 156 voters.

Under the proposed budget for the next fiscal year beginning June 1, Scarsdale plans a tax rate increase from 19.29 to 20.69 per thousand, raising $151 900 more by taxation than 1960 61. Disbursements climb to 2 451 600 from 2 392 200, while assessments edge up to 100 409 800 from 99 814 720.

Three From Heathcote Speak At Convention
Dr. Ernest Machnuts principal of Heathcote School and teachers Mrs. Jo Lopis and Mrs. Dorothy Herman have been chosen as featured speakers at the National Elementary Principals Convention in Atlantic City New Jersey.
