Forty people voted on Tuesday at the Village Hall for trustees ending in a quiet election. George Clifton Charles E Birge and Mrs P W R Glover were re elected to two year terms with votes ranging from thirty eight to thirty three. Clifton Birge and Glover had prior service with Birge succeeding James Baird and Glover filling a vacancy.

Fire Burns Garage on Cottier Estate in Scarsdale
Scarsdale firefighters responded to a Saturday morning blaze at Alonzo E. Cottier estate. The fire gutted one cottage room and the chauffeur’s quarters and destroyed a Pierce Arrow sedan on blocks in the garage. A group of girls aged ten to twelve formed The Happiness Club to bring happiness to others. They meet every other Saturday at Betsy Schultze’s home to assemble scrapbooks for hospital wards and gather toys for White Plains Hospital and St. Agnes's Hospital crippled children. Scarsdale Golf Club plans opening on April 15 with a new first tee to the right of the clubhouse driveway and elevated for lake views. The old tee becomes two tennis courts, several holes gain hazards, trees are planted for protection, walls become out of bounds, and course length rises to 6126 yards with revised par and handicap strokes. A caddy house is to be built, ground breaking May 1.
