Jury Declares Kubas Guilty in Scarsdale Burglary Trial
Michael Kubas a known screen burglar was found guilty by a jury after a five minute deliberation in Scarsdale. The trial began yesterday morning with Kubas taking the stand at four o clock denying all burglary charges. He attempted suicide by swallowing a fifty cent piece earlier and was treated at Grasslands Hospital. Police testified about the October 24 burglary at the Finkbeiner residence on Edgewood Road and a broken screen. The verdict will lead to a sentencing by Judge Frederick Close next week.
