Two Men Die In Post Road Crash In Greenwich
Francis H Macy III of Greenwich and Frederic G Lee Jr of 1158 Fifth Ave New York were killed when their Chrysler roadster hit Theodore F Schulte backing out of his Post Road driveway near the Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Schulte escaped with minor injuries. Witnesses said the roadster was speeding. medical examiner found no liquor involvement. Macy and Lee were en route from New York to spend the weekend with Macy’s father Nelson Macy of Corliss Macy and Co.

May Abandon Croton River Parkway Plan

The New York Telephone Company plans over two miles of underground cable as part of 1926 construction. The project will serve Fox Meadow and transfer about 500 Greenacres lines from White Plains to the village central office. One and a half miles of cable with 900 pairs will run along Post road to Wayside lane and Kingston avenue. Scarsdale has grown from 1015 phones in 1921 to 2087 in 1926.

Automobile Slams into Stone Embankment in Village Road
A Buick coach owned and driven by Casper Bowman of 444 East Fifty eighth Street New York City collided with a stone embankment opposite the village dump on Old Mamaroneck road Sunday afternoon. A front axle bolt broke causing the crash. Five occupants were taken to White Plains Hospital for minor injuries.
