High School Masquerade Declared Great Success
The Scarsdale High School General Organization stage event on March 11 drew a large crowd with varied costumes from parlor maids to Egyptian queens. Hughey's orchestra provided lively jazz as attendees danced until 11 30. The Sophomore class presented The Ladies of Cranford in an eight cast with Miss Matty Jenkins and others, praised for appropriate costumes and charm. The winter term ends March 24, spring term starts April 4, third quarter tests were held March 14 18, and report cards arrive March 24. A poster contest for the school play advertisement is open to all students.

Quiet Village Election Elects Two Women Trustees
The Scarsdale village election passed quietly with one contested trustee race. Mrs. Burgess won the one-year seat with 84 votes, Mrs. Johnson earned 57 votes but will stay on the ballot, and Mrs. Castle was elected trustee with cross party endorsement. Officials elected include President Arthur Boniface and trustees Forbes and Hunter. treasurer Arthur Herbert was re elected. Voters approved three propositions creating a Town Receiver of Taxes, allowing sale of village tax liens, and establishing a separate Water Board.
