Sydney D Maddock elected chairman of the Scarsdale Community Fund and Council Inc at a directors meeting after the annual members meeting at the Scarsdale Women's Club on March 14. New officers include Edwin Cohen secretary Donald MacPhail treasurer Henry Schindler assistant treasurer and five directors named for three year terms. The meeting also reviewed last fall's campaign results showing 11526911 subscribed against a goal of 10880500 with 94.1 percent of village families participating.

Village Board Sets Two Hearings On Zoning Amendments
Two public hearings are scheduled Tuesday night at 8 15 in the Village Hall Annex on proposed amendments to the building zone ordinance. The first would permit a power transformer station on village property to aid Con Edison and possibly a future second transformer at the village garage. The second amendment tightens Board of Appeals exemptions by raising minimum area from 60 to 75 percent and street frontage from 80 to 85 percent.
