Village To Vote Tuesday For Three Trustees
Elections for three village trustees set for Tuesday from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Popham Road Fire House. Candidates are Henry Hofheimer Jr. Democrat and Jules Wacht Republican seeking reelection, and Mrs. Winston Hobbs running for the first time. Wacht fills a term. Hofheimer completes his first two years. Hobbs is president of the Woman's Club and would complete her second term in April. Village Flood Near High School Echoes Blizzard Anniversary
On the blizzard anniversary day 3.57 inches of rain fell in the village. One inch of rain equals about 10 inches of snow, suggesting three feet of snow if it had snowed. Brewster Road near the high school flooded and the auditorium orchestra pit held three feet of moisture. A student used a row boat to ferry pupils across the flooded Brewster Road.
