Music Conservatory Plans Move to White Plains Campus
The Westchester Conservatory of Music will relocate from 990 Post Road Scarsdale to 45 Bryant Avenue White Plains. Director Nicolai Mednikoff announced after a highly attended concert at White Plains High School that growth and central location justify the move. The recital attracted nearly 1,000 attendees and featured a Schubert Bauer Rondo brillante and a Chopin Polonaise for six pianos. Next year the program will add a harp and likely harpsichord department along with a French phonetics and diction division.

Bond Issue Bid Is Lowest Since 192
Emanuel and Company submitted a bid for a village highway improvement bond issue of $187000 at three and one half percent with a premium of $57.97. Twelve bidders submitted bids Tuesday evening when bids were opened by the Village Board.
