Ira Newlin Retires From Scarsdale High School
Ira G. Newlin of 4 Drake Road resigns as Science Department chairman at Scarsdale High School effective July 1 after a long tenure since 1937 as head of the department and since 1934 on the faculty. He is a Guilford B.S. and Haverford M.S. graduate active in civic affairs and bond-issue efforts. He plans to remain in Scarsdale to travel and catch up on things.

Joseph B. Ullman of 195 Fox Meadow Road and Joseph Hofheimer of 18 Vanderbilt Road were nominated by the Citizens Nominating Committee for three year terms on the Scarsdale Board of Education starting July 1971. They will face voters May 5 1971. Hofheimer to fill the term held by Frederick P. Ullman to succeed himself.
