Rehearsals Begin For Legion Minstrel Show Benefit
Scarsdale Post of the American Legion begins rehearsals for its annual Minstrel Show at the Post Club House on Mamaroneck Road. The event, halted in 1954 by the Living Memorial Campaign, will be staged at Scarsdale High School on Saturday April 16 and for VA Hospital patients in Montrose the night before. Rehearsals occur Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays at eight, March 16 excepted, with aim to recruit about 100 voices from a 500 member post under Commander Charles J. Luce.

Scarsdale High School ended its basketball schedule with two victories, finishing 7-11. Bill Drysdale topped the Scarsdale scoring list with 37 points against Washington Irving and 17 more versus Bronxville for a season total of 240, exceeding the 1950-51 mark. Howie McEldowney led Bronxville with 212 points on the year.
