The Westchester County Educational Conference launched the Committee of One Hundred on February 24 at the County Court House in White Plains. Westchester Shelter Reaches Nine Years Of Service
The Temporary Shelter for Children at 111 Warburton Ave Yonkers run by Westchester County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children marks nine years since admitting its first children on March 2 1913 with formal opening March 19. It has never closed and serves homeless, beaten and neglected youngsters day and night. The Westchester County 8.P.C.C. has completed its twentieth year, expanding its vital child welfare work in cooperation with other groups.
