Three Volunteer Firemen Injured in Dickel Road Blaze
Three volunteer firefighters were hurt fighting a house fire at 60 Dickel Road on Sunday afternoon February 29. The alarm came at 3 13 p.m. after neighbors alerted the Cardozas. Fire Captain Robert Sapple said the fire had burned about two hours before discovery. The kitchen and attic were gutted and smoke and water damage were extensive. Peter Keating, Tim Ballantyne, and Bill Adams were taken to White Plains Hospital with injuries from the blaze. White Plains engines were directed away by Sapple.
