Scarsdale Guns For Tax Levy To Buy Edgewood Acre

In the June 8 meeting, the Scarsdale school board seeks a $17,500 tax levy to buy an acre and a quarter for Edgewood School adding to its five plus acres. The plan echoes a May 5 defeat when the land was to be acquired via a bond issue. Citizens urged to attend the High School vote at 8:30 PM next Monday to oppose the levy, arguing the land is unnecessary and that taxes should reflect true need, not extravagance.
