James McCallum nineteen year old son of Mr and Mrs John Hum of 07 Orawaupum Street Plains drowned last Sunday while swimming in the Bronx River Parkway Reservation pool near Haroad Scarsdale. Companions say he was not an expert swimmer but a friend nearby did not notice trouble as he sank in twenty feet of water after signaling. Lifeguard Bremner and others attempted rescue but could not reach him before he disappeared. The body was recovered by Bremner and later helpers. Continued on page two.
