Two Killed In Milford Crash Of Car And Truck
Mr and Mrs John Shreve of Manursing Island Rye and formerly Scarsdale were killed instantly last Friday when their car crashed into a parked truck after a side swipe by another car on the Milford turnpike. The couple survived by four children Adele Mary John and Nelson. Funeral services were held Monday at their home and burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Rain Delays Westchester Track Meet Postponed to July 23
The Westchester County Recreation Commission track meet at Scarsdale High School was postponed by rain to Saturday afternoon July 23 starting at 2 o clock. Final heats ran include Senior 440 and 100 yard dashes, Intermediate 440 and 100 yard dashes, Junior 75 yard dash, and Senior 220 yard low hurdles. Remaining events listed with trials semis and finals include Senior 120 yard high hurdles and various dashes plus relays. Field events completed cover running broad and high jumps, pole vault and shot put across Senior and Intermediate divisions. The meet resumes from Event 17 and Event 2 with no entry changes.
