A Sunday evening accident in Bronxville railroad yards caused a freight train to shove two box cars off the end track and lean over the north bound main. A wrecker righted the car and operations drew hundreds of spectators within half an hour as trains had to cross the switch near the freight house to allow north bound service.
The Citizens' and Town Sewers committees met at Thomas Burgess’s residence last Tuesday to discuss extending the Bronx Valley Sewer. Burgess chairs the Citizens' Committee, and both groups favor enlarging the system beyond the current sewer area to enable future pumping installations.
Hartsdale won over Brooklyn with a 12 to 10 final. Edward Conner, a star from New Rochelle and former local player, joined Hartsdale for the game and impressed with sharp catching and batting, becoming a crowd favorite among his teammates.
Westchester County Chamber of Commerce backs a medical inspection program in public schools. Bulletin reports about forty percent of deficient pupils suffer from hearing or nutrition problems. Early detection may allow many to advance grades at a modest cost under two to three thousand dollars annually.

Hartsdale defeated Bronxville 3 matches to 2 in a tense set of tennis. Galvao beat Clark in three sets 2-6 6-2 6-? while Frederick Fox swept J L Robertson 6-3 6-1. Beekman beat Bassford 7-5 9-7, and the doubles teams Galvao Bassford and Beekman Huntton won their matches.
Tomorrow at St Pauls M E Church Hartsdale the pastor Rev C P McClelland will preach both morning and evening. The morning topic is Rising Up and Late Rising. A social hour follows with refreshments after games.
