Hartsdale Man Wounded In Suspected Suicide Try
John H. Carroll houseman of Caroline Country Club in Hartsdale was shot in the chest near midnight and transported to White Plains Hospital. Doctors Jason Parker and Walter Lowthian removed a .38 caliber bullet after locating its path. Carroll is expected to recover. The motive for the attempt is unknown. An ambulance rushed from Hartsdale after a call.
