The Red Cross Relief Committee reports a case of surgical dressings set to Bush Terminal. Relief goes on as outdoor activities on Monday afternoons are busy with long trestles completed and rolled.
A junior open tennis tournament is to be held at Gedney Farms this Saturday. Organizers expect participation from local players and visiting youths, with matches scheduled across morning and afternoon sessions.
The club announces a Saturday event open to players under seventeen and seventeen to twenty. Notable entrants include Elizabeth, Harold Throck Norton, the Donaldson Brothers, Frank Anderson of Brooklyn, and George Preston of Philipse Manor. Miss Ada Hauscheld daughter of Mr and Mrs George W Hauscheld of Arthur Manor married Werner R Straehler of New York City at Scarsdale Congregational Church by Rev Arthur O Pritchard. The couple plan a six to seven week honeymoon visiting Buffalo Lake George Thousand Islands Canada then will reside in the Bronx. They were both teachers at Wakefield School No 16 and have known each other for about three years.
