Recreation Department Publishes 16 Summer Swimming Trips
The Recreation Department will sponsor 16 swimming trips for youngsters during July and August on Tuesdays Wednesdays and Thursdays starting July 18 at Oakland Swimming Pool Rye. Buses depart Edgewood and Greenacres Schools at noon and return by 4 30 p m. Includes bus fare and pool admission for 80 cents.

Ray Wilson Hurt When Thrown From Motorcycle
A 17 year old, Ray Wilson of 30 Church Lane, was seriously injured when his motorcycle collided with a dog on Crane Road. He braked hard, the bike jumped the curb and he was thrown onto the sidewalk. He was taken to Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville for possible concussion shock a sprained back and bruised shoulder.

Girl Rescued From Attic Shaft at Shawnee Road Home
Susan Ledner 20 Shawnee Rd was playing hide and seek with friends at 21 Shawnee Rd when she slipped into a shaft about 15 feet deep between insulation partitions. Rescue team led by Sgt. John Donovan and officers Lentz and Nagle, with 12-year-old John Linpe, lowered a rope to pull her out. She received treatment for bruises and scratches.
