At the July board meeting Edgemont School Board elected John H. Thompson of Clubway as a member and reelected Mrs Listen C. Noble as clerk. The seven member board approved two contracts including a baseball backstop fence and tennis court fencing for 2,152 dollars and tennis court surfacing for 5,475 dollars.

Summer Home Demolished in Springfield by Lightning
A two story farmhouse in Springfield Vermont owned by Charles B Gulick Jr and his family was struck by lightning and razed along with the barn and breezeway last Sunday. Their car was destroyed though most furniture was saved by neighbors. The Gulicks were away at the time with Mr and Mrs Gulick in Cambridge and the children at camp.

Women Golf Winners At Scarsdale Club Tournament
