At about 11 25 a m on Tuesday three masked armed men robbed the Greenville Branch of Scarsdale National Bank and Trust Co at 860 Central Ave taking an estimated 133000. No injuries reported and loss insured. Police agencies seek suspects with partial descriptions.

Friedman Urged For Bench Vacancies

Scarsdale Plans Plaques for Historic Homes
Scarsdale marks twelve historic houses with plaques listing past owners and dates. The project, funded by the Scarsdale Foundation and donors, is led by historian Stephen Leroy Angell with colleagues. Mitchell Named Yonkers Schools Chief to Start August First
Yonkers appoints Paul M. Mitchell as new school superintendent, succeeding Stanley Wynstra who retires after 18 years. Mitchell, 40-applicant pool, will assume duties Aug. 1 at 30,500. He has led Commack schools since 1965 after work in Scarsdale, including acting superintendent in 1964-65 and other posts.
Tooley Family Escapes Fire At Maine Resort
Village Manager Lowell Tooley and his family escaped a fire that destroyed Squaw Mountain Inn on Moosehead Lake Maine. They crawled from a second floor window to a porch roof then jumped twelve feet to the ground. Their daughter Mary was slightly injured but released from the local hospital. Five guests were killed and 16 hospitalized among about 200 guests in the resort at the time.

Burglaries Here Cut In Half In Scarsdale
