Liese McCain and Smith Renominated for Village Trustees
The non partisan Citizens Committee announced re nominations for village trustees Liese McCain and Smith after their terms. The three will be sent to the Republican and Democratic parties and appear on March ballots under the Citizens Party with petitions to follow. Liese and McCain are Democrats and Smith a Republican, all elected in 1948 for two year terms. Current trustees Ingalls Finsterbusch Pilliod and Van Vliet remain in office with terms expiring next April.

Ordinance Creates Throughways at Madison Rodney Barry Tunstall
After a Tuesday public hearing the Village Board approved an ordinance designating the Madison Road intersections with Rodney Barry and Tunstall Roads as throughways for 100 feet each side from the centers. The rule allows police to place stop signs at the intersections starting February 7, as a compromise to residents opposing making Madison Road itself a throughway. Edward O.
