About two hundred scouts along with many parents and friends attended the opening of the Scout House on Way side Lane last Friday evening. Fred P. Harrington presided in the chairman's absence as illness kept Donald G. Ross away. District Committee members spoke on rebuilding, with Mr. Marsh noting local merchants funded the work at cost, keeping expenses near the fire insurance payout. Scout Mothers provided refreshments.

Fifteen dollars was collected in fines by Judge Carter in court yesterday morning. Jack Baker of New York City pleaded guilty to going over the white line on the Parkway and was fined five dollars. Robert Jacobson of New York City, a carpenter now employed in Scarsdale, was fined ten dollars for driving in the center of the road after he was warned four times by the officer. Morris Hicker, who rents the farm at the Shoemaker estate, failed to bury a dead horse after ten days and was ordered to appear in court again last night to report the horse buried or face a jail term.
