Westchester Reform Temple decides to resubmit its plans for village approval. Mansell announces the decision at the temple's Board of Trustees meeting, with Irving Berkelhammer, president of the congregation, confirming the move. Continued on Page Two.

Committee Against Incorporation slam s the pro incorporation report as flawed and over optimistic. Robert J. Wise cites 1966 Ragette defense costs and questions legal and facility budgets for a village hall and police facility.
The Citizens' Nominating Committee for Scarsdale Union Free School District No. 1 seeks two new board members to fill terms of five years each. Nominations due January 24 with second meeting January 29. forms require biographical details and proof of qualified voter status.
Frank W. Oppenheimer of the Committee for Village Incorporation accuses opponents of scaring neighbors about costs for Edgemont. He cites lack of budget data from the Committee Against Incorporation and notes their absence from budget hearings. The group says the 62 percent tax rise is relatively stable and has hired the Public Administration Service for analysis.
The Scarsdale Town Club's Non-Partisan Procedure committee proposes two plans to liberalize village elections. Plan A creates six districts with a 36 member Citizens' Committee and mixed party representation. Plan B removes party ties and bases nominations on fitness, with no gender or party constraints. The committee will not decide at the January 26 meeting.
Former Assemblyman Warren J. Sinsheimer urged Scarsdale to adopt a totally nonpartisan nominating method, seeking support from the Scarsdale Republican Town Committee and the Town Club's Non-Partisan Procedures panel. The Town Club endorsed Plan B, while the Republican Committee voted 3 to 1 to oppose Sinsheimer and back Plan A, effectively asking Republicans to withdraw from the system.
The Scarsdale Voters League chose a two candidate slate for mayor and trustee at a Monday meeting at Heathcote School. Dr. Robert Koblitz a Bard College government professor, and Mrs. Sidney Korzenick a high school social studies teacher, will compete in the March 21 election. The slate faces non partisan nomination through the Citizens Nominating Committee with four village posts to fill.
Dr. Robert Koblitz of the Voters League condemns the Scarsdale League of Women Voters for canceling a candidate meeting ahead of the March village elections. He cites the constitutional open election guarantee and the league's history of hosting forums to promote debate and public education on issues and candidates.
