A six month survey by Seelye Stevenson Value and Knecht for the U S Corps of Engineers will map potential fallout shelter space in village buildings. Scarsdale was selected for early study due to active civil defense efforts. The program, aided by the 1960 Census, will locate and evaluate areas capable of sheltering groups of 50 after a nuclear attack.

Christmas House Tour Raises Over $2000 for Scarsdale Club
Gross receipts for the Christmas House Tour sponsored by the Garden Section of the Scarsdale Woman's Club exceeded $2000. Garden Section chairwoman Mrs. Theodore Hirtz reported on January 10 that 760 tickets were sold. Proceeds fund beautification of the station area and a landscape plan will be submitted to the village board for approval.

21 Women Ride Peace Train To Washington
