About 75 people attended the first rehearsal of the Scarsdale Unit of the Westchester Choral Society at the Scarsdale Woman's Club. Conducted by Gerald Duberta, the group aims to compete in the May county music festival and welcomes new singers through January 27 when the third rehearsal marks the last chance to join. Nicolai Mednikoff leads the Conservatory as the unit plans continued rehearsals and county cooperation.

Village P T A hears talk on mental health and education
Dr Charles Lambert told Fox Meadow Parent Teachers Association at an open meeting that one in ten adults suffers a mental or nervous breakdown requiring care in a hospital or sanitarium.
