George J. Werner announces the Westchester School of Nursing will open at Grasslands Hospital on March 1 after the Board of Supervisors approved funds in 1923 for a nurses home and training school. Man Falls Near Tavern Dies in Scarsdale
Herman Koenigsberger 74 of 94 Hamilton Place New York uncle of Mrs. Bertram Bloch Setz Place Scarsdale died Sunday evening after falling on the pavement near the Scarsdale Tavern on Station Drive. He collapsed after the fall and was pronounced dead upon arrival of Dr. William J. Fordring. Coroner Dr. A M. Squires ordered the body to Lyon and Hartnett undertakers in White Plains and police recovered relatives. Koenigsberger had been visiting the Blochs and declined to return home with family.

Pupils began deposits Wednesday with weekly banking on Tuesdays, using envelopes and coupons to record deposits sent to the Scarsdale National Bank and Trust Company.

Plans for a Memorial Education Fund in Scarsdale honor Mrs. Gertrude Eagan and Mrs. Elizabeth O. Whittemore, both long active in local schools and PTA leadership. The fund, to be administered by the Scarsdale Foundation, will aid educational opportunities for deserving students with at least 15000 dollars raised initially.
