Colonel Albion Keith Eaton of Scarsdale was awarded the Legion of Merit by Colonel Albert H. Burton for exceptionally meritorious conduct in overseeing procurement of more than 550 million dollars in military supplies. He directed HAIS Cable and camouflage efforts, served as former North Atlantic Supply Division chief, and later returned to Shell Oil Company duties. County Center Roof Repairs Loom Large Costs

Sgt John Conrad Earns Bronze Star for Heroic Rescue
Sergeant John P. Conrad, formerly of Eton Lodge, earned the Bronze Star Medal for heroism on April 27, 1945, near Waldhausen Germany with the 90th Infantry Division.
