Sanitation Crew Hauls 182 Tons in 3 Days

Scarsdale residents faced delayed pickup as the Sanitation Department collected 182 tons of waste over a three day period after a holiday. Under Village Manager H. Victor Cordy and Superintendent Nicholas Maeri the 22‑member crew worked extra hours to clear a backlog marked by a 60 ton increase from the previous year.

Scarsdale Village Plans 50th Anniversary Celebration

Open Hearing On Village Board Review Schedule

A public hearing on the proposed Board of Architectural Review is set for Tuesday at 8 15 PM during the Board of Village Trustees meeting. Items include building plans, Boy Scout campout requests, parking regulation changes, association letters on Bronx River Parkway burglaries and Weinberg Nature Center funding, and a sanitation truck contract. Local Bank Attains $50 Million Deposits Milestone

Scarsdale National Bank and Trust Company reached the fifty million dollar deposits mark at year end 1964. President J Henry Neale reported deposits of 50 639 895 on December 31 1964 up 11.3 percent from 1963. Total resources were 55 198 217 with loans of 29 623 232 and net operating earnings rising to 335 360.

Blood Donors Sought By Red Cross in Scarsdale

The Scarsdale Red Cross calls for new blood donors with a Bloodmobile visit planned January 27 from 1 to 6 p.m. at the Scarsdale Community Baptist Church. Residents ages 18 to 60 in good health may give blood, contributing to a program offering blood fractions and family coverage under the Red Cross plan.

Talks Begin On Village Heads Nominations For 1965-66

Doves Decline Highlighted in Scarsdale Bird Census

Sixteen Scarsdale Audubon Society members braved poor Dec. 27 weather to tally birds in the national Christmas Bird Census. In Scarsdale the mourning dove declined while brown headed cowbirds fed alongside starlings at feeding stations. 36 species were counted.
