Unusual incidents included two battery toys left operable, a live alligator in a doorstop package, and a jewel box sent without jewels later corrected. Allocations Cut By Scarsdale United Fund Board

Voters League To Select Candidates January 16
The Scarsdale Voters League for Non-Partisan Government will hold its first public meeting January 16 at 8 15 p m in the Heathcote Meeting Room to discuss a mayor and trustees slate and issue based platforms. The March 21 village election will feature open nominations and a forum to question candidates on issues such as a swimming pool village hall open space safety and county problems. Mrs Sidney Korzenik co chairman urged all Scarsdale residents to attend noting self government has atrophied in 50 years and that national party affiliation is irrelevant.
