Snowfall totals in Scarsdale rise this season
Scarsdale recorded six and a half inches of snow over the first three storms of the season. Weather observer Clifford H. Wilmarth of Post Road notes last December saw eight and a quarter inches for the month. The heaviest single storm this period dropped two and a half inches on Saturday.

Boy Scout House To Open Jan 16
Scarsdale Boy Scout House, damaged by fire in early November with $5,500 insured loss, will reopen Friday January 16 at eight o clock. Scout mothers will host the homecoming reception for Scarsdale residents and especially parents of scouts. The rebuilt facility is described by the Scout Council as one of the finest houses in the country.

Fire truck avoids collision as it twists to miss car
Philip Hugel of the Scarsdale Fire Department swung a heavy fire truck to one side to avoid a car turning from Drake Road into Post Road. The vehicle struck a tele phone pole near Village Hall but continued to answer a residence fire call at 166 Madison Road. Witnesses say the truck also avoided striking a bus that had stopped to board passengers.

Arrest Driver and Find Stolen Car
A stolen car was recovered and a reckless driver arrested on Christmas Eve. William J. Duffy of 58 Lake Street White Plains was arrested on reckless driving after a collision with Einar Farevaug of Hartsdale and charged with grand larceny for stealing the car. He was treated for minor injuries and released on $1,000 bail.

Scarsdale Lodge Number 1052 F and A M will install new officers Friday evening next week. William F. Salter will be Master, George F. Stubbs Junior Warden, and Walter H. Young Senior Warden.
