Three Scarsdale Break-Ins During Christmas Week
Three burglaries were reported in Scarsdale during Christmas week. Alfred Slaner at 10 Normandy Lane was broken into on December 27 with the kitchen door forced. nothing appeared missing. Alfred Julien at 2 Franklin Road also had a kitchen entry with ransacked rooms. items stolen unclear. Joseph Torrisi at 30 Woods Lane had jewelry and other property taken after a kitchen door entry. Donna Ferraro reported $700 in clothing and jewelry stolen from a locked car at Heathcote Exxon Station on December 22. John L. Masterton of White Plains was arrested December 28 after accusations of breaking windows on Garth Road and possession of marijuana.

Trial Far Off In Case Of Women Versus Town Club
The suit by Emily Korzenik and six Scarsdale women to gain admission to the all male Town Club has no trial date yet. Earlier tentative dates of January 26 and March 22 were rejected and April at the earliest now seems likely.
