Stolen 1938 Ford Probed After Scarsdale Theft
A 1938 Ford was stolen from Scarsdale High School on Friday night December 16 by three teenage boys visiting from Elmhurst and Long Island. The vehicle was found abandoned in White Plains the next day. One thief is a 16 year old from Long Island. the other two are 15 year olds from Scarsdale, with one having prior arrests for similar thefts.

Robbery at Grace Evangelical Church Targets Sunday School Teacher
A Sunday School teacher Miss Margaret Reitmeier of Lee Avenue was robbed at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church at Grand Boulevard and Alida Street. A man who first asked for a cleaning woman returned with a gun, emptied a church envelope of $34 and stole $21 from her purse plus miscellaneous items before locking her in a closet and fleeing. She freed herself after about ten minutes and alerted police.
