The Freedom Train with its exhibit of priceless American history documents will be open from 9 30 a m to 10 p m at White Plains New York Central Station next Wednesday December 22. About 12000 visitors are expected. Mayor Silas Clark will preside at ceremonies at 9 30 a m with speeches by Walter H S O Brien director. Paramount executive Louis A Nevins and foundation leaders will participate. The American Heritage Foundation aims to boost citizen participation rights and liberties pride in history and world obligation.

Edgemont approves new elementary school plan
At a December 9 special meeting the Edgemont School District authorized a bond not exceeding 375000 for an elementary school on district land west of Central Ave Ardsley Rd. The vote also rescinded a 600000 high school bond proposal and approved minor improvements and a five year Scarsdale joint attendance contract beginning 1949 50.

The Edgemont Association hired Lawrence Labriola of Scarsdale to clear Ardsley Road sidewalk from Edgemont Road to the Bronx River Park Way northerly exit during December through March. Quentin I.
