Roosevelt Bars Non Residents From Roosevelt High
Greenburgh School Districts No. 6 and No. 8 were told that after January 25 non resident students at Roosevelt High in Yonkers who have not earned thirteen graduation points by that date must arrange to complete their high school work elsewhere. Only two students from district 6 Edgemont are attending Roosevelt. the Edgemont board plans to seek a satisfactory arrangement. Edgemont voters deferred consolidating with Greenburgh No. 8 or starting a new high school, asking a special committee to report in March and October of next year before final decision in November 1929. The Edgemont high school plan remains pending until 1930 when a ninth grade will be added. A special committee on the high school situation began work with trustees and community members.
