Disabled Campers Share In Summer Day Camp Activities

In Scarsdale twelve participants eight campers and four counselors take part in a summer program run with the Scarsdale Recreation Department day camp. The group ages 10 to 21 join trips overnights and activities across performing arts sports and arts specialists. Pat Shoemaker O Keeffe directs the program and aims to expand it beyond mid range abilities as counselors guide varied learners through baseball kick ball soccer and other games.

Village investigates owner over removal of seven park trees

Neighbors rally as Scarsdale considers restitution for the removal of seven maple elm and locust trees from a 13 foot village strip at 24 Parkfield Road. Scarsdale Approves Three Paddle Courts And Higher Fees

Scarsdale trustees approve three heated, lighted paddle courts at Scarsdale High School to open by November 1 and fund the $56,475 project from multiple sources. They also raise more than 30 village fees under a new law, with building permits and other charges adjusted to match costs and nearby communities.

Melodrama at Scarsdale High Sunday by The Street Theater

The Street Theater brings The Tavern by George M. Cohan to Scarsdale High School courtyard on Sunday August 22 at 8 p.m. The Equity approved company tours Westchester and NYC and is supported by several arts foundations. Hearing Set On Village Building Code Revision

A public hearing is scheduled for Tuesday October 26 during the village board meeting to consider a major revision of the Village Building Code. The text will be available at Village Hall and sent to county builders associations for comment. A second hearing on proposed taxi fare increases is set for Tuesday September 14.
