District No 2 Annual School Meeting Adjourned

Scarsdale Station shows growth as the single worker of ten years ago is replaced by three employees for ticket office freight express and post office duties. The Post Office is now separate and the station will stay open until midnight.

Quaker Ridge Golf Course Hosts Annual Tournament
Residents of Quaker Ridge enjoy a nine hole golf course covering 2300 yards on the old Taylor property below Col Sackett’s residence. The course was laid out last July and improved this spring under Willie He. It is leased by Col Sackett and families including Henry W Sackett and Dr E Steese. The second annual tournament takes place Saturday the 30th and Labor Day September 1 with a cup donated by the ladies for the year's winner.

Scarsdale Company Offers Road Easement Conditioned on Macadam Plan
At the town board meeting August 1, Scarsdale Company rep Mr vy B White proposed granting a 100 foot road strip to ease turnoffs from Drake Road to Post Road if the town macadamizes it during Drake Road work. The proposal was favorably discussed and referred to a joint Highway and Town Board meeting set for August 7. The session also covered trolley franchise conditions and fulfillment timelines, noting that requirements such as cross streets and resets were due within two years after Mt. Vernon road completion and questioning whether another company held a parallel franchise from Sea Vernon. The company indicated it would meet franchise conditions when the road project proceeded, with the surety company holding the funds.
