Film Fire at Fenimore Country Club Verandah
A moving picture film caught fire Sunday evening at 11 40 during a club verandah showing. Scarsdale Fire Department arrived after club servants extinguished the blaze. The film was destroyed but the metal projector booth and surrounding area suffered no damage.

Masked Man Robs Thornycroft Couple in Garage
Mr and Mrs J B Linerd of Thornycroft Apartments were held up by an armed man at 9 30 am Thursday. The robber, a white man of dark complexion about 5 7 and 150 pounds with a 2 3 day beard wore a straw hat and no collar. He claimed he needed the money to support his family and escaped after taking a one dollar bill. Park Road Home Struck by Lightning Fire
A lightning bolt struck a house at 12 Park Road in Scarsdale Tuesday evening at 6 30 causing a roof fire. Miss A Jackel notified the Scarsdale Fire Department. firefighters used 35 gallons of chemicals to extinguish the blaze. The old shingles under the new fire resisting roof caught fire but the roof limited damage. Firemen said the fire was controlled ten minutes after seven and total damage was not serious.
