Special Town and H D Macdona Joint Board Meeting Dead
A special meeting of the Joint Highway and Town Boards was held at the Town Hall with all Town Board members and commissioners present. The town counsel proposed a consent allowing Bronx Valley Sewer Commission to open Fisher Street for a sewer run, with conditions including five days’ notice, sixty days to complete, bonds, lights, and a safe roadway. The Police Committee sought authority to sell a blue motorcycle and buy a new one from the automobile fund. A $20,000 bond to ensure faithful accounting of highway funds was presented for Supervisor Secor. Charles M. Lane died Friday after a prolonged illness. he was a longtime lawyer and public official with ties to Pleasantville and New York City.
