John Armstrong a 38 year old lineman for the New York and New Jersey Telephone Co died Tuesday night April 14 1903 after stepping from one train into another at Newnes He lived in Hartsdale until recently and ran the Coal Yard business formerly operated by Wm Secord He leaves a mother and sister Mrs Mary A Butler and a brother Robert who went to California in 1844 and has not been heard from since The funeral was held at his mother's home and he was buried at Mt Calvary Cemetery

New Knights of Columbus Theatre Opens in Rochelle
The new Knights of Columbus building in Rochelle opened with a fair and dedication ceremony. The theater seats about 1500, with around 2000 inside for the exercises and twice that many turned away.
