The Scarsdale Red Cross chapter votes May 3 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Branch Headquarters Room 305 Harwood Building and 2 to 2:30 p.m. at the Woman's Club for board directors. Police rescue on 35 foot embankment
Patrolman Benjamin Heinzinger of the Scarsdale Police Department rescued seven year old William Gage who became stranded halfway down a 35 foot rail road embankment at Corell Road. Heinzinger, on the force since April 16, descended the slope and carried the boy to safety with firemen not needed.
