Pelham High appoints Scarsdale dean of boys as new principal
F Hamilton Whipple, longtime Scarsdale High School dean of boys since 1987 and former Navy member, will become Pelham High School principal this fall. He will resign from Scarsdale at year end, with Superintendent Dr Vernon G Smith calling him outstanding and highly respected. Principal Lester W Nelson notes Whipple’s understanding of students and community and anticipates strong support in Pelham.

High School PTA Elects Officers For Coming Year

Recreation Report Details Westchester County Spending
Westchester County spent 77,919 on recreation in 1945 with revenues of 31,125 according to the Recreation Commission annual report. The County Center cost 39,623 to operate and yielded 28,573 in revenues.
