Two dramatic new proposals for solving the parking impasse were presented to the Board of Trustees on Tuesday night. James Shaw and A A Talmage offered plans to ease traffic near Duck Pond with a 160 car east side lot or a multideck garage in Freightway, paired with a night parcel post office service to cut costs. An on the spot survey Sunday will review Shaw and Gordon details with Trustees Allen and Rutherford. the plans aim to preserve Chase Road and Duck Pond, provide long and short term space, and be aesthetically acceptable.

A burglar used candles to enter 20 Rural Drive while Mr. and Mrs. Arthur L. Smith were away from about 5 30 to 10 15 p m. The cellar door was found open and a candle lay on the floor.
